TEHRAN – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has said that so far Iran has noticed no violation of the commitments defined in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action by the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany).
During a meeting on Thursday with Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mir-Mohammad Yasrebi, head of Kashan Seminary School, Larijani elaborated on the procedure of approving the JCPOA by the parliament.
During the talks which took place in Qom, the city that Larijani represents in parliament, Ayatollah Yasrebi thanked the Majlis speaker for his pivotal role in approving the JCPOA, commonly called the Iran nuclear deal.
Iran and the six major powers finalized the text of the JCPOA in Vienna on July 14.
On July 20, the UN Security Council turned the JCPOA into international law by endorsing a resolution, setting the stage for the lifting of the Security Council sanctions against Iran.
In October, the Iranian Parliament approved the details of the nuclear deal that Tehran sealed with the major powers.
